RingCast #3

This episode covers crafting & professions, the May 3rd patch update, known issues, a bit about what we’ve been doing in LOTRO, and Alusian’s Tavern Talk covers the PC Gamer article & the troll nerf. I also go into how to remove the opening cinematics from the game (shown below).

Show Notes 

Go into your c:\program files\turbine\The Lord of the Rings Online\raw\en directory.

Go into the introcinematic directory.

Rename the file in there to something, or add BAK or OLD to the end.

Back out to the prior directory, and then go into the logo directory.

Rename the file in there as above.

Now, when the game runs, it won’t find those files and will just skip them, so no intro logo or cinematic.
